Cadu is a platform that aims to connect companies with individuals seeking new employment opportunities.
A significant feature of Cadu is that for users without subscriptions, they can enter their details to generate a resume and apply for positions. With their information on the platform, if they choose to subscribe, they can access numerous registered job openings and submit their updated resume.

I worked on the project as a freelancer, helping Cadu members materialize all their ideas into a product relevant to the market.
When I was approached, the project had already gone through some stages of defining certain functionalities and the steps it would take from an MVP to a consolidated product. It was a significant challenge to organize all the features within this initial MVP and take into account how the product could scale for the next stages.
I worked on the project as a freelancer, helping Cadu members materialize all their ideas into a product relevant to the market.

It was a significant challenge to organize all the features within this initial MVP and take into account how the product could scale for the next stages.

For this project, the Double Diamond methodology was employed, dividing the project into two main stages: understanding the problem and delivering a solution.
During the Immersion phase, I gathered all the information provided by the client and began organizing the data I already had, along with conducting a benchmark analysis of other companies operating in the same segment.
With the previous stage completed, we initiated the Definition process. Leveraging all the collected materials, we organized our findings and precisely defined which features would be developed.

In this first stage, I met with the project stakeholders and received an initial briefing about the problem and who we are solving it for. In Brazil, 49% of workers wish to seek another job in 2023 — 39% of them would like to change their field of work, industry, or profession.
This is a significant statistic, as approximately half of the workers are looking for a new opportunity within the job market, providing a substantial scope for this project.
There are already other players in the market connecting job seekers with open positions. Looking at these other companies served as a benchmark to understand where we could bring uniqueness and also comprehend their operational approaches

After analyzing competitors, we found that the majority of players did not offer free functionalities to users.
This is Cadu's main differentiator, providing all users, after registration, with a personalized resume available for download in PDF, ready to be applied for jobs.
A flowchart was created to facilitate understanding of the stages users would go through and the information requested in each of them, to create a logical and well-structured flow.

Implementation & results
To streamline the platform scaling process across its stages, a Style Guide was created, serving as a component guide for screen design.
Models for buttons, text inputs, filters, cards, and all necessary components for screen creation were defined. With the approved wireframe structure, this stage primarily involved implementing the new components into the defined framework.

Lessons learned
The most complex stage of this entire project was the structuring stage, where the fields that should exist and at which stage they would enter were defined. What aided me in developing this solution was understanding how other players handle this information, as it aligns with users' familiarity with other products in this segment.
A key aspect that facilitated the entire process (and one I strive to apply in all projects I work on) was the approval of wireframes before screen development. This allows more room for testing and quick adjustments to address identified issues. With the application of our Style Guide, all screens were standardized, significantly speeding up the screen creation process.
